The "Giant Mountains" - Krkonose (Krkonose - highest peak: Snezka - 1603m)

There are various slopes - suitable for beginners to advanced skiers.

With all these leisure activities on offer, one should not forget to also enjoy the breathtaking views over Bohemia and even to Poland. This mountain range is one of the safest in Europe, due to its organised life-guard service.

The nature reserve "Krkonossky narodni park KRNAP" stretches over an area of 365qkm.

There are the following skiing centers:

Spindleruv Mlyn	25km of slopes, 70km of cross country skiing, 130km of ski-hiking, 2 chair- and 20 drag-lifts, ski-schools and -rental, artificial snow at Svaty Petr
Harrachow	10km of slopes (beginners - advanced), 80km of cross country skiing, 5 ski-jumps, ski-schools and -rentals, 12 ski-lifts ( 2 with floodlights and 4 for children).
Rokytnice nad Jizerou	8 ski-lifts, 10 slopes,further down soft slopes and cross country tracks (10 km), ski-schools and -rentals
Desna	8 easy to medium slopes, 6 chair-lifts, +- 50km of cross country skiing, ski-school and -rentals
